Before you shop at one of these online sample sales, check out these tips for getting in on the sale madness!
1. Find out what time the sale starts and get online as soon as it does. Many sites only carry a few items in each size and they best pieces sell out in minutes.
2. Know the store's return policy. Some of them are for credit only, or some allow returns but within a certain number of days. Sometimes these online sample sales feature final sales on deeply discounted items up to 90% off! Great deal - but if the item doesn't fit, you must be willing to accept that fact, or do what I do and sell it on eBay to recoupe what you spent!
3. Understand that most items are from a prior season. As long as you understand this, you can find classic pieces from prior seasons that will still work in your wardrobe for many seasons to come. Great jeans, classic dresses and tops and handbags will become staples in your closet regardless of the season.
4. Don't get sucked in and be willing to walk away. If all the good stuff goes before you get online - don't let your adrenaline get the best of you and buy something you won't wear. If you don't find what you were looking for, there will always be another sale...and we should know - we do a weekly rundown of what sales are coming up online! Also, check and make sure the sale price is really a good deal. Sometimes you find great items at over 50% off, and sometimes the prices don't really seem that good...so if not, hold out for another sale.

Super Style Lovers Walk For Cancer

StyleSuperStore.com has a personal connection to this event. In 2001, my best friend Liane (Editor & Writer for Denimology.com, our sister site) found out she had Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma which she needed to undergo Chemotherapy for. FYI, Stage 3 means that lymph nodes involvement on both sides of the diaphragm. Liane endured chemotherapy, lost all of her beautiful hair and then withstood 5 weeks of intense radiation as well before the doctors told her she had gone into remission. 8 years later, she is happy, healthy and celebrating being considered "cured" by doctors.
Liane and her dog Koda wearing their Light The Night TeesPlease sponsor us. This cause is so important to us and any amount helps. The walk is November 7th - help us reach our goal!

Denimology's own, Liane and Jessie of Denimology and StyleSuperStore.com, will both be walking.

Czech Elle October 2009 with Michaela Kocianova

Snapper Marcel Gonzalez-Ortiz shoots cover girl Michaela Kocianova, highlighting her amazing cheekbones and her sultry pout in the October issue of Czech Elle. With the exception of the cover, Michaela appears in all red, wearing pieces from Louis Vuitton, Max Mara and Prada.

Tony & Eva for London Fog

Sexy Eva Longoria stripped down to her birthday suit, as she and husband Tony Parker teamed up for their first ever couples paid photo shoot. The Desperate Housewives beauty and her basketball star hubby looked very much in love as they partook in the London Fog fashionshoot.
"It was a big love fest. The creative concept was a romantic intimate moment, so it was a lot of Eva and Tony standing really close and nuzzling," said Dari Marder of London Fog.
"They were like, 'This is the easiest job we've ever done.' What was so sweet is that Eva asked if we could have a couple of portraits printed for her. She said she had never asked for that before, but she wants to put them in her home," Marder added.

Martin Margiela Velvet Sneakers

Martin Margiela has been receiving quite a bit of hype in the high-end fashion market. In order to keep on increasing attention they have decided to make a bold statement by releasing their Burgundy and Black Velvet Flocking Treatment Hi top sneaker ($454) & their Blue Velvet low top sneaker. These sneakers are entirely covered in deep velvet and are lined with calfskin. The Martin Margiela trainers are part of his Fall/Winter 2009 Collection in an all-over velvet version. Not only the sneaker upper, but also the mid-sole, outer sole and the laces are entirely covered in velvet, resulting in an overall very interesting look. As usual, Margiela treats us to elements of surprise.
Barbie for Christian Louboutin

Ever since Barbie and Christian Louboutin teamed up for a lucrative shoe campaign, it's been body image issues galore. After being named the mini-fashion icon's godfather, Christian caused a bit of tiff when he pointed out the chub on her centimeter-sized feet. We get that the red-sole-master has a bit of a foot fetish, but we're hoping he takes it easy when filing down her cankles. After all, it seems that Christian and Barbie are having sort of a thing as demonstrated in these images from their book "My Year in Paris with Christian Louboutin." The duo shops together, lounges together, and breaks into buildings together in matching catsuits and spiked shoes. They're a strange couple--there's no denying that--and judging from the look on Christian's face as he spots Barbie cavorting with the better-coiffed Ken, Barbie might have a little more to worry about than her ankle issue.
The shoe master of fabulous footwear, Christian Louboutin has joined forces with Barbie to create a line of shoes for America's most famous doll! Everyoneone has there problem areas but Barbie + Cankles? Say it ain't so!
